Commercial transparency

Affiliate disclosure

How clearly identified Safari.com, Viator, TourRadar and DiscoverCars affiliate links work, what external providers control and how editorial independence is protected.

Last updated: 28 July 2026

What external partners control

Safari.com destination, lodge and package information, written inclusions, exclusions, transfers, cancellation terms, prices, availability, booking administration and customer support are controlled by Safari.com and the relevant suppliers. Travellers should compare the current written supplier information before paying.

Tour and activity bookings, payments, prices, availability, itineraries, inclusions, cancellation rules and customer support are handled by the partner and the relevant tour operator or experience provider.

Rental bookings, payments, availability, prices, deposits, insurance products, vehicle classes, cancellation rules and customer support are handled by DiscoverCars and the relevant rental supplier. Following a link does not create a booking with South Africa Safari Guide.

Editorial independence

Editorial content is not purchased by Safari.com, Viator, TourRadar or DiscoverCars. The affiliate relationship does not determine factual claims or make an option the right choice for a visitor. Editorial content should remain independent and useful.

Price paid through an affiliate link

The affiliate relationship does not change the price a traveller pays through the link. South Africa Safari Guide may earn a commission from an eligible completed booking, while the traveller remains responsible for comparing the complete written offer and supplier terms.

What to verify for a rental car

Before confirming a rental, verify the collection and return location, operating hours, security deposit, driver age and licence requirements, insurance and exclusions, mileage limits, fuel policy, one-way fees, cross-border and road restrictions, cancellation terms, and vehicle and luggage capacity.

What to verify before booking

Visitors should verify current routes, accommodation, transfers, meals, park fees, age limits, accessibility requirements, cancellation conditions and travel-document requirements before booking. Prices and availability can change, and search results may contain options that do not fit the route described in our editorial guidance.

TourRadar traffic policy

South Africa Safari Guide initially uses TourRadar links only within normal editorial content pages. TourRadar affiliate links must not be promoted through forbidden traffic sources such as paid search, branded context ads, retargeting, popups, automatic redirects, incentive traffic, coupon traffic or coupon auto apply. This marketing-compliance rule does not restrict ordinary visitor access based on referrer.

Referral and customer information

The website does not receive access to a partner's complete customer payment data merely because a visitor follows an affiliate link. The external partner processes referral and booking information under its own privacy notice.
